New Delhi, Thursday, September 8, 2011: A day after the most powerful terror strike in three years in the capital, the death toll rose to 12 as a victim succumbed to his injuries early on Thursday morning. Eleven of the 12 people dead in the Delhi High Court blast have been identified.
A majority of the victims of Wednesday’s blast outside the Delhi High Court received injuries in their lower limbs and the pelvic area. The critically injured ones may require amputation, but the biggest tragedy has been for the 12 families who have lost their loved ones.
There was total chaos outside Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where more than 50 injured have been admitted.
